New York State Teacher License Renewal Requirements
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) requires teachers who hold a professional certificate in the classroom teaching service or educational leadership service or a Level III Teaching Assistant certificate to complete 100 hours of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) from an approved CPE provider during each five-year registration term.
NYSED-Approved for CTLE Credits From Model Teaching

All Model Teaching regular Professional Development (PD, Clock Hour) courses are pre-approved by NYSED to earn CTLE credits for license renewal. All Model Teaching courses are pre-approved by NYSED for CTLE credits. CTLE# 23730.
all courses completed come with a certificate of completion documenting your earned hours, ready for submission to NYSED. We also offer University-Partnered Academic Credit Courses for teacher salary advancement and credentialing.
NYSED requires professional certificate holders to “complete a minimum of 15 percent of their required CTLE clock hours in language acquisition addressing the needs of English language learners, including a focus on best practices for co-teaching strategies, and integrating language and content instruction for English language learners.”
